As you may well have heard, the Fat Cyclist is my favorite blogger. Fatty's wife, Susan is currently fighting breast cancer.

Both Fatty and Susan are huge cycling entusiasts. Susan would get a giant boost by having an army of sweatty men power over miles and miles of devastating hills in her support. Who wouldn't?

I have signed up for the honor and challenge of riding in 'Team Fatty: Fighting for Susan' and hope to be part of the solution by powering over miles and miles of those said hills. One hundred miles if possible, or if not, as many miles as possible until they kick me off the course.

That's where you come in. I need cash - specifically your cash. I'm aiming to raise US 250$ through holding a poker party,as well as pure, unadulterated email solicitation.

As a bonus, If you live in the Vancouver/Richmond/Ladner/Tsawassen area and donate to my cause, I will bike to your house and thank you in person! I'm also willing to accept cruel challenges such as biking up giant hills in exchange for donations - the possibilities are limitless!

Note that LAF is an AMERICAN CHARITY and that your receipt will only be good if you have AMERICAN INCOME. The lack of income tax kickbacks will reduce your ability to give sweet cash to my cause. To that end I've implemented the following policy:

1. Donate the amount you would have to a canadian registered charity minus your marginal taxable rate. So if you would have given 5$, instead give 3.50$.

1. I will thank you for the value of your gift plus your marginal tax rate. If your marginal tax rate is 30% and you donate 10$ I will be thankful at a 13$ level.

2. If your donation would have pushed you from a higher marginal tax rate to a lower one, I will thank you at entirely the highest tax rate.
