Unite with me in the cancer fight and support my fundraising efforts
My mother was first diagnosed with cancer in 1979. She underwent a mastectomy and endured multiple rounds of chemo therapy and radiation. She was diagnosed with cancer again in 1996 and passed away in 1999. She was a twenty year survivor and I miss her.
Cancer sucks. Cancer is not selective. It can attack you or it can attack me.
More than 12 million people worldwide are diagnosed with cancer and eight million will die from the disease each year. Worldwide, cancer will be the leading cause of death by 2010.
That's why I'm picking a fight with cancer.
I ask you to join me in this fight by donating to me as I participate in all four of the Livestrong Challenges this year in Seattle, San Jose, Philadelphia and Austin.
The Lance Armstrong Foundation unites people to fight cancer, believing that unity is strength, knowledge is power, and attitude is everything.
Through the dollars and awareness that we raise, we can inspire and empower individuals, and we can make life better for the millions of people across the globe fighting cancer today.
