Join me in the cancer fight

I became interested in this charity and this ride by the writings of Elden Nelson (a.k.a. "Fat Cyclist"), and his many stories of his wife Susan's fight with cancer. I ride in support of her, but also in support of my own family.

My mother, Mary, is fighting chronic leukemia and multiple myeloma.

My brother's life-partner, Sara, is a breast cancer survivor.

Sara's brother, Bobby, is a kidney cancer survivor.

My father, Kirby, survived Hodgkin's Disease twice before succumbing to a massive heart attack.

My father's brother, Hugh, died from acute leukemia.

My mother's father, William, was another leukemia victim.

My mother's 5 siblings -- Wallace, Ewell, Jesse, Norene, and Cloyd -- all had some form of cancer, some fatal.

Please help me raise money for The Lance Armstrong Foundation in support of cancer treatment and research.
